About
Yuvette Henderson had four kids, a grandchild and brother. Her mother died when she was 13 so she was a mother figure for her brother who was 8 years old at the time. Her brother said that she was always laughing and constantly a helping hand.
The police were called because Yuvette was suspected to be shoplifting at a Home Depot in Oakland. She reportedly pulled a revolver on a Home Depot security guard who tried to stop her and fell and hit her head. She then left the Home Depot and tried to carjack a car at storage unit a few blocks away and was spotted by the police. Within seven seconds of approaching her, the police officers shot her seven times in the head and back with an AK-15 and she died at scene.
Was justice served?
No, justice was not served, the police officers didn't face any charges. The police officer with a body cam just happened to not have his body cam on at the time. This could have played out a number of different ways and Yuvette could still be alive right now. As of February 2015, justice has not been served.
